Do you need money for your thesis? How about a dinosaur costume? How do we get some vegan jamaican beef patties served at lunch? How long have we been throwing PCPs?

The President would be the go-to-guy/gal for information on how student government works, or who to talk to on a specific issue. Presidents surround themselves with knowledgeable people, and they are more than happy to direct them to you. But don't be fooled. Presidents usually had another position before they became president and they can be very affable. Go ahead, ask them something.
The Executive vice-president keeps the rest of the cabinet members in line. He or she writes the agenda (so if you want to bring something up at our open cabinet meetings, go see the EVP) and makes sure we don't go too off topic.
The Vice-president of Academic Affairs is the head of the Council of Academic Affairs (CAA) and can help you get a student appointed professor on campus, or get funding for an ISP or thesis. The VPAA sits on committees with professors and can be contacted for all things academic.
The Vice-President of Student Affairs runs the town meeting (so if you want to present something to the towne meeting, they are the person to talk to.) The VPSA is the head of the counsil of student affairs (CSA) which, oversees such great committees as the SAC and the ARC. Any concerns with student life can be addressed to the VPSA.
The Alumnae/i Foundation representative works closely with the folks at the Keating center, to provide funding for college-sponsored events and grants for individual student academic endeavors and attends the New College Alumnae/i Association meetings and represents student interests. The Foundation/Alum Rep is great for getting academic funding.
The archivist can only tell you what already happened, or what is planned for the future. That means the archvist knows a lot about what's going on. Or at least can tell you how to find out. Need minutes from previous meetings or the towne meeting? Maybe a paper set of minutes from prior to 2002? The archives are open to all students and it is the job of the archivist to make sure you get them. The archivist is the curator of the New College Museum as well. The archivist is also responsible for the web site you're reading.
The SAC gives you money for what you want on campus. Go ahead and hit them up for some funds. You'll need a SATAN Form though.
